It seems like Spring is here to stay. Everything is coming into bloom and it is starting to get a little greener around here. We have enjoyed some 80 degree weather this week for a few days in a row. I won't complain.
The girls have spring break next week so were are off to England for the week. We are going over to visit William and Julie. Brad has been friends with William since they were young. He was in our wedding and has visited us several times. So we owe them a trip over there. The girls are now at an age that we can enjoy going over and sight seeing. Brad and I have been over once before kids. The girls are looking forward to seeing a castle and hopefully London. We will be in the Northern part, near Manchester. The day before we come back we will get a day at convention over there. We are looking forward to our trip and we will post pictures when we get back. Have a great week!!!

The second grade classes at Ellie's school put on a program about forest animals. It was really cute and now I have a few of the songs stuck in my head!!!
Ellie saying her part....
The kids singing one of the 12 songs!
This is half of the 2nd grade. The other half had their program the next evening.

Sunday Blunder!!!!
I tell ya...just when you think you have yourself all together it all falls apart!!!
We had company for lunch yesterday and I had prepared most everything ahead so that I wouldn't have a lot to do when we got home from meeting. I had my pork roast in the oven and everything was almost done cooking so I went to take my roast out and discovered that my oven wasn't on!!!! I had turned both of my ovens on in the morning and before we left the house I was to turn the top oven off. Well, I must have turned the bottom oven off. I didn't know what to do at first and then decided to slice the roast and cook it on the grill. It came out really well. So not all was lost! :)
Side note....My little dog got out of the house to bark, growl, chase our neighbor's Doberman! I was all frantic and went running out to get her, so when I came back into the house I was all confused. So...it was all Missy's fault!!

Zip Line
We got the girls a zip line over a year ago and we are just now getting it put up. The "kids" had so much fun and want to do it over and over again. We need to make some adjustments as they get going a little to fast!

And the Tooth Fairy said...
Thursday, April 10, 2008
Look who lost her 1st tooth!
I got this post all turned around!!! I can't fix it!!!
Ava is so excited to have lost her first tooth. She lost it at school so she was beaming when I picked her up from school. At school they get this cool little tooth box to keep their tooth in and she has been wanting one all year! She didn't believe in the tooth fairy because of Ellie. She asked me if there was a tooth fairy and I said that if she wanted a visit from the tooth fairy then she had to believe in her. Well, she is all about the tooth fairy now, but she wouldn't give up her tooth and she lost it. Now she has written a note to the tooth fairy to put under her pillow tonight.
"Dear tooth fairy. I lost my tooth. I want you to get my ??? Ava to you" I don't know exactly what she is saying but I think she is trying to give her something in exchange for her tooth. She asked me this morning if a pencil would be to big for the tooth fairy. She also wants the tooth fairy to draw a picture of herself and leave a real magic wand. We will see how all of this goes. Maybe, she is just testing ME!

Personality Quiz
The Loyal Friend
Others see you as sensible, cautious, careful & practical. They see you as clever, gifted, or talented, but modest. Not a person who makes friends too quickly or easily, but someone who's extremely loyal to friends you do make and who expects the same loyalty in return. Those who really get to know you realize it takes a lot to shake your trust in your friends, but equally that it takes you a long time to get over if that trust is ever broken.

Sunshine and Wind
We have had rain and wind the last two days and the snow is practically gone!!!! Here is a couple of the views that I took pictures of last week and there isn't any snow. Notice the sleds sitting on the lawn. I am surprised they haven't been blown away by the wind. It feels so good to have bare ground.
This morning we saw a beaver or ground hog in our yard. Ellie starting yelling, "that means spring is really here!" Yeah!!!

My fan club...
Tucket and Missy...they follow me all day long around the house. But they are the best little dogs. Tucket (3yrs. old) is mellow and just content but Missy (1yrs. old) is full of energy. She is really getting to me lately. She chews on Everything. My rugs, baskets, furniture!!!! I am ready for her to grow up. She cuddles right up to me so that I forget how naughty she is. Oh! the love for your dogs!
