Ellie has been studying about Ellis Island in school and they had an Ellis Island Day to see what it was like on Ellis Island. Ellie had loved learning about Ellis Island and totally enjoyed her fun day at school. It was neat to see the kids lined up on the hall waiting to sign in on the "manifest", go to all the different centers to be checked and questioned, and then welcomed to America. A great experience. We then took the girls down to NY city to see Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty.
